Students enrolled in Classes IX, X, XI and XII across Coimbatore and surrounding districts are invited to participate in one of Rising Peacock's three signature competitions.
The Rising Peacock Constitutional Challenge 2026
“Justice Begins with Courage.”
A constitutional advocacy challenge where students explore contemporary questions of rights, justice, governance and public policy—and defend their reasoning before a simulated Constitutional Bench.
Introduces participants to the discipline of constitutional reasoning through an engaging series of simulated legal exercises. Instead of rewarding memorisation of legal provisions, the competition encourages participants to analyse contemporary issues, appreciate competing perspectives, construct persuasive arguments, and respond thoughtfully to challenging questions under time constraints.

The Rising Peacock Fourth Estate Challenge 2026
“Stories Shape the World. Truth Holds It Accountable.”
A newsroom simulation where students learn to identify stories that matter, investigate unfamiliar information, verify facts, ask difficult questions and make responsible editorial decisions.
Brings newsroom discipline into the school environment through a structured, intellectually demanding simulation. Participants examine events from multiple perspectives, recognizing that every story contains choices about what to include, what to verify, whose voice to seek, and how to present uncertainty.

The Rising Peacock Public Affairs Challenge 2026
“Ideas Become Action. Decisions Shape Tomorrow.”
A public-policy challenge where students step into the shoes of decision-makers, analyse complex problems, balance competing interests and develop practical solutions for the public good.
Places participants in situations where there may be no perfect answer. Students will examine evidence, understand diverse stakeholders, balance competing priorities, anticipate consequences, and ultimately make decisions that affect people and communities like real policy-makers.

How The Challenge Unfolds
Designed to evaluate distinct competencies from analytical writing to fast on-the-spot oral advocacy.
Round I [Preliminary]
Participants submit an analytical written essay or brief of not more than 1,000 words based on the unveiled competition prompt.
Round II [Semi-Finals]
Shortlisted participants from Round I advance to an oral round. The challenge topic is communicated 24 hours prior to the scheduled date.
Round III [Grand Finale]
Immediately following Round II. No advance proposition is provided. Finalists receive the proposition at commencement to test live instinctive acumen.

All rounds are conducted virtually through the video conferencing platform designated by the Organising Committee.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility & Institutional Guidelines
Classes IX, X, XI & XII
Open to currently enrolled school students in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
All Educational Boards
Irrespective of educational board (CBSE, ICSE/ISC, Tamil Nadu State Board, Cambridge IGCSE, IB, etc.).
Individual Participation
Participation is individual. Schools may nominate multiple candidates with no upper limit on entries.

Official opening of registrations for students in Classes IX, X, XI, and XII.
The official propositions and topics for Round I written submissions are unveiled.
Last date to submit the online registration form and registration fee of ₹200.
Participants submit their written submission of not more than 1,000 words.
Announcement of shortlisted candidates advancing to the oral semi-finals.
Shortlisted participants present before judges. Topic communicated 24 hours prior.
Finalists receive the proposition on the spot at commencement. Concluding oral rounds & award ceremony.
